The following concept art has been created by Richard Daborn (www.richarddaborn.com).  For all his fantastic hard work, Rod is deeply indebted.  He has done an amazing job at creating the mood of the book in a single frame.  The top picture is the final cover design and then each subsequent picture below charts how Richard's concept developed.  The red version was adapted from the final design by Rod's good friend, Tony, as a possible alternative to the black and white.
